Run With your dog
Surrey Canicross Club
We promote canicross as a social sport and inclusive recreational activity, with a strong emphasis on responsible dog ownership and trail etiquette. Sessions are fully planned, risk assessed and fun for all kinds of dogs and humans.
Where we run
We host sessions in some of Surrey’s most spectacular countryside along the M25 corridor and into the Surrey Hills, with regular events in or around Epsom, Ashtead, Cobham, Oxshott, Esher, Ockham, Banstead, Coulsdon, Tadworth, Dorking and Reigate
what we do
OUR SESSIONS
We host a variety of sessions for our Club Members, catering to a range of abilities, fitness and trail technicality levels, from newcomers to competitive racers. From our social Club Runs twice a month, to our weekly classes and coached sessions, monthly hikes and other workshops, we've got something for everyone! Our Bookings tab on the menu lists all sessions available to registered Members (if you're not a Member yet, you won't see very much!).
Beginners Workshops
A structured introduction to canicross comprising a basic theory session and a practical session, after which you can join in our class sessions and other guided runs.
Adventure Hikes
Our longer Adventure Hikes involve longer or more challenging routes such as climbing Snowdon, or long (15km+) walks involving pub stops en route.
Guided Runs
Our qualified and insured Run Leaders guide our groups on a range of routes from easy 5km loops through to longer half-marathon and technical trails.
Adventure camps
Our Adventure Camps are a great introduction to camping with your dog in a safe and understanding environment. We host them in locations such as Snowdonia, and closer to home on the South Coast.
Guided Hikes
Our cani-hikes use the same principles as canicross and are a fun alternative to running. We try to hike in a variety of interesting or scenic locations.
Social Events
We're not all about running! We also host a load of other Club events throughout the year including beach days and social walks, as well as running in organised canicross race events.
